Gabrielle Gillott is a Scotland-based artist, born in Sheffield in 1995. She graduated from Edinburgh College of Art at the University of Edinburgh with a first class MA Fine Art degree (History of Art + Sculpture) in 2019. Her practice spans installation, sculpture and films. She draws on an interest in performative colour (inspired by a university course exploring the art of early medieval Britain) and sub-cultures such as prepping. Selected exhibitions include 'RSA New Contemporaries' at The Royal Scottish Academy, 2020,  ‘Trading Zone’ at Talbot Rice Gallery, 2019, and ‘Extinction Rebellion’ at Summerhall, 2019. She has been Artist-in-Residence for Glenfiddich, and Bothy Projects.
